An excellent value, except one small problem: the front wheel bearings were over-tightened at the factory. With that tell-tale grinding feel when spinning the axle with my fingers. The unnecessary added friction can reduce battery life, and/or make it more difficult to pedal. A quick and easy fix for me as part of the assembly process. Because I've worked on bikes since I was a teenager in the early 80s. But I suspect most customers don't know how to properly adjust wheel bearings.
The front wheel brake caliper was also slightly out of alignment. Meaning the brake pads couldn't be adjusted as close to the disc as they should be. Resulting in a longer squeeze on the brake lever being required. Either that or being adjusted closer, the disc would rub against one of the pads. Resulting in excessive pad wear. Either way, wear on both pads would be uneven. Something else the average customer likely doesn't know how to fix on their own.
I enjoyed this bike. It took a little bit to get used to the assist. As I just wanted to move up a tiny bit and the assist kicked in. I would say human error as i was not used to this feature. I'm 59 & I had never ridden an e-bike & can't imagine life without it.
This bike was easy to assemble and don’t forget to put air in your tires before taking for a test ride. Great throttle response and pedal is very responsive. Great look overall and for the price, you won’t be let down. Not to mention 24 months extended warranty. Purchase a headlight and rear reflector and cell phone mount and your in business. Happy riding 😎
I absolutely love this electric bike. At this point I own two and my family has used them for months. The batteries last, are easy to charge, and the bike handled well on hills, grass, etc. I’ve not been an avid bike rider but now I probably ride four times more than I use to. Now if I’m tired but the kids want to keep going I can use electric for a break or if I just want to free ride and be lazy I can. I also routinely pull behind a kids cart and manual or electric this bike shines.
If I had to call out a negative I’d say the break handles are cheap as I broke one when the bike tipped over. Granted, you can get more durable ones that are inexpensive. Looking to buy a third once my son can handle the height.
If you love biking you must have one of this. Excellence quality at an affordable price. Easy to assemble and very comfortable ride.
